Environmental and Social Value Added in IDB Private Sector Projects
AbstractThe IDB works hand in hand with borrowers, project sponsors, and stakeholders to ensure that private sector projects financed by the Bank are environmentally and socially sustainable. By working proactively with private-sector project companies, the IDB not only helps to protect environmental and social resources but it adds value that significantly benefits borrowers, sponsors, investors, and local communities. This document describes the substantial environmental and social value added that is provided by PRI participation.
