    Abstract

    Las pequeñas y medianas empresas (PyMEs) se están posicionando como parte estratégica del negocio de los bancos de América Latina y del Caribe (LAC), que cada vez fomentan más políticas activas de financiamiento para las PyMEs. Este es uno de los resultados de una encuesta realizada durante el trascurso del año 2011 por las siguientes ventanillas del sector privado del Grupo BID: el Fondo Multilateral de Inversiones (FOMIN), el programa beyondBanking del departamento de Financiamiento Estructurado y Corporativo (SCF) y la Corporación Interamericana de Inversiones junto con la Federación Latinoamericana de Bancos (FELABAN). Este informe presenta los resultados generales de la cuarta encuesta, que integra las opiniones de responsables del área PyME sobre 109 bancos distribuidos en 22 países de América Latina y Caribe. Incluye también los análisis pormenorizados de las respuestas, por tamaño de las entidades, su localización, así como las interrelaciones con otras conductas y perspectivas vinculadas a su relación con el sector.
