Abstract

Ce Working Paper a pour objet de présenter une vue d’ensemble de la littérature traitant du concept d’innovation par l’usage. C’est parce qu’il existe des limites à une reproduction parfaite de l’environnement lors des phases expérimentales que des problèmes surgissent au cours des activités normales de production et d’usage (Foray, 2000). Les usagers (au sens large) ont alors une position privilégiée en matière de production de connaissance. Ce document est structuré selon la distinction entre deux niveaux d’apprentissage : l’apprentissage « routinier », ou bricolage, et l’apprentissage « expérimental », ou programmé, qui renvoient à deux modes très différents d’implication des usagers dans les processus d’innovation des firmes.
