Abstract

Les entreprises engagées dans des activités économiques qui affirment donner priorité à des objectifs autres que le profit, qui conjuguent à des degrés divers des ressources hétérogènes (marchandes, bénévoles, publiques, privées) et qui choisissent généralement des statuts juridiques particuliers (associations, fondations, coopératives, mutuelles) sont rassemblées sous des vocables qui varient selon les époques, les pays et les cultures. Économie sociale et solidaire en France depuis quelques années, secteur du non-profit ou du volontariat dans les pays anglo-saxons, économie sociale populaire en Amérique latine, entreprises sociales plus récemment des deux côtés de l'Atlantique. La délimitation de ce champ au sein d'une économie mondialisée et plurielle reste un objet de débats aussi bien conceptuels et théoriques que juridiques et pragmatiques. Capitalisant plusieurs années de travaux engagés par une quarantaine de chercheurs regroupés au sein du Réseau Ouest de Recherche en Économie Sociale et Solidaire, auxquels se sont joints des collègues nationaux et internationaux présents au colloque de 2008, cet ouvrage mobilise un large éventail de disciplines des sciences humaines et sociales afin de croiser les regards sur les recherches réalisées et d'approfondir la connaissance de ce secteur complexe. L'ouvrage est structuré autour de trois thématiques principales, retenues pour leur actualité, pour les enjeux qu'elles portent et pour les perspectives d'échanges qu'elles autorisent : L'entrepreneuriat en économie sociale et solidaire, une dynamique spécifique ?; L'économie sociale et solidaire face à la question du travail et de l'emploi; L'économie sociale et solidaire dans ses rapports aux territoires
