Abstract

Depuis plus de 20 ans, Marta Calás et Linda Smircich poursuivent des carrières académiques conjointes. Toutes deux sont professeures de théorie des organisations à l'Université Amherst du Massachusetts, et co-écrivent régulièrement depuis 1987. Elles partagent également de nombreuses activités d'administration et d'animation de la communauté scientifique. Cette longue et étroite collaboration a donné lieu à une activité de publication remarquable par sa cohérence et par son homogénéité. Les travaux de Marta Calás et Linda Smircich se positionnent comme une critique des approches traditionnelles en théorie des organisations et s'attachent à dénoncer la vision moderne dominante dans le champ de production de la connaissance en management (Partie 1). S'inscrivant dans une épistémologie postmoderne/poststructuraliste, elles mobilisent les démarches et outils méthodologiques inspirés de ces épistémologies, comme la déconstruction déridienne et l'approche généalogique de Foucault, pour offrir une lecture féministe des théories du management (Partie 2).
