Abstract

The paper tries to answer the question : « May we speak of an accounting scientific community in France?". We try to understand the setting up of a new scientific community at the end of the 1970's, through the history of the French Accounting Association. We present its development and the threats under which it is today: full recognition from the social sciences community is far from established
