Des paroles aux actes : usages contemporains de la performativité dans le champ financier

Abstract

La question de la performativité fait débat depuis plusieurs années au sein des études sociales de la finance. La tendance a, jusqu'ici, consisté à détacher le concept d'Austin de son socle linguistique premier, afin de proposer une approche tenant compte des critiques formulées par Bourdieu notamment. Pour autant, faut-il considérer que la dimension langagière est inadaptée à l'étude des marchés ? Nous postulons que non, qu'il y a encore la place pour une étude des marchés financiers qui fasse la part belle aux analyses austiniennes, en partant notamment du rapport qu'entretiennent performativité et normativité
