Abstract
Cette contribution interroge les bénéfices théoriques de la notion d’encastrement au regard de l’économie sociale et solidaire. Dans un premier temps, elle reprend sa constitution historique de Polanyi à la nouvelle sociologie économique. Dans un deuxième temps, elle s’interroge sur sa pertinence au regard des “sociétés surface” où s’entrecroisent de multiples régulations. Enfin, elles suggèrent les apories auxquelles conduisent son usage normatif.
