Abstract

L’objet de l’article est d’analyser la manière dont la tradition autrichienne dans la pensée économique traite du problème de l’impact, de la connaissance et des croyances des agents sur le fonctionnement de l’activité économique. Les contributions de trois auteurs sont tour à tour examinées : von Mises, Hayek et Schumpeter. Elles font apparaître une grande diversité de position, en particulier sur la question de l’articulation entre croyances individuelles et croyances sociales. Sans être exhaustive, cette diversité s’avère analytiquement significative au regard des débats théoriques contemporains.
