Abstract

Cette communication propose de mesurer les disparités de revenus sur plusieurs échelles spatiales de la France de 1985 à 2001. Nous analysons dans un premier temps l'évolution des disparités des revenus fiscaux entre les communes à l'échelle nationale et régionale, puis nous nous focalisons sur l'échelle intra-urbaine pour mettre en évidence une croissance des écarts entre les communes riches et les communes pauvres dans les aires urbaines de plus de 100 000 habitants. Le découpage au niveau infra-communal nous permet ensuite de mesurer la ségrégation résidentielle des ménages par le revenu à partir d'un indice de ségrégation et de comparer son niveau dans les différentes aires urbaines. Enfin nous illustrons à l'aide des études existantes quelques caractéristiques du processus ségrégatif à l'œuvre.
