Abstract

Ne le répétez pas : le positivisme est mort depuis belle lurette. À cette nouvelle, certains, soit qu'ils persistent à s'y référer, soit qu'ils continuent à tirer sur lui à boulets rouges, pourraient bien en faire une attaque. Gardez-là donc pour vous, et surtout n'ajoutez pas : mais le programme de réflexion qu'il a amorcé, même si tout le monde sait (enfin, dans les cercles un peu renseignés) qu'il a échoué, a joué un rôle décisif dans la pensée de la science et continue de nourrir cette pensée par delà son échec. Là, des dépressions seraient à craindre. C'est pourtant ce qu'explique Jacques Bouveresse dans son dernier livre, "Essais VI. Les lumières des positivistes". Nous allons nous servir librement de ce livre (en espérant que son auteur nous le pardonne) pour revenir sur les débats épistémologiques qui animent les sciences de gestion.
