Abstract

Depuis la première rencontre à Gif-sur-Yvette en 1979 jusqu'à Charleroi en 2010, les Journées de l'Association d'économie sociale (AÉS) n'ont cessé de fonder théoriquement, de comparer et d'évaluer les institutions et les politiques sociales. En 2011, le Centre d'économie de la Sorbonne a pris le relais du CIRTES pour organiser les XXXIes Journées autour de la thématique 'Crise, inégalités et pauvretés'. Il apparaît en effet que la crise de 2008 induit une dégradation des revenus et des patrimoines porteuse d'une aggravation des inégalités et des pauvretés que les dispositifs de protection sociale peinent à limiter significativement. Dans un contexte de restriction budgétaire et alors même que les ajustements du marché du travail se poursuivent, la question des conséquences sociales de la crise apparaît majeure et les défis sociaux auxquels elle confronte les États sont multiples.
