Abstract

Binary regression with continuous outcomes (BRCO) constitutes an alternative to logistic regression when the investigator's interest focuses on the proportion of subjects who fall above or below a cut-off value. It is based on a generalized linear model with composite link that takes advantage of the continuous structure of the outcome, typically gaussian or lognormal. under correct response modeling BRCO is more efficient than logistic regression.
