Abstract

Human capital seems to be an extremely important feature to be disregarded in the evaluation of this factor impacts on income per worker (rate of growth and level). This is the reason for the emergence of many recent studies which includes this variable in the empirical analyses as studies comparing different countries or states of a country. The present study’s goal is to make an empirical analysis using a human capital proxy for the Paraná State Municipalities in the 1980-2000 period. The methods employed in the empirical analyses are Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) and Panel Data regressions.
