Agricultural and environmental policy changes have potentially large effects on Dutch agriculture and economy as a whole. The effects could be on inter-industry transactions, factor demand, income , trade, and environmental quality. The clear structure and flexibility make applied general equilibrium (AGE) analysis a useful tool for analysing the effeects of such policy changes. This paper describes WAGEM, and AGE model of the Netherlands. WAGEM could be used for agricultural and environmental plicy analyses.
