So far the Theory of Distributive Justice has tried to single out a unique criterion of Justice. In our opinion we live in a world where different people hold conflicting ideas of justice. We propose a procedure of representing these individual opinions, by means of what we call counterfactual functions, and three different ways of aggreagting there opinions into a social judgement. We show that many well-known concepts are special cases of our approach. We study, under a restriction on the form of the counterfactual functions, necessary and sufficient conditions for a social choice correspondance to be generated by any of our concepts.
