Abstract

In this report, we investigate whether the determination of employment differs between Europe, Japan and the United States (U) and, for Europe, whether the determination of employment differs between the various sectors of industry. For this purpose, an employment equation is estimated on paneldata of several European countries, Japan and the US for the years 1970-1994.
