Abstract

Professionalität im Management von kleinen und mittleren Vereinen weist einen deutlichen Zusammenhang mit ihrer Ressourcenlage und dem Grad ihrer Zielerreichung auf. Am Beispiel von Schweizer Sportvereinen lässt sich zeigen, dass sich die erfolgreicheren Vereine insbesondere durch eine ausgeprägte Positionierung und regelmässige Evaluierung des Leistungsangebots, die Betreuung und Entwicklung der ehrenamtlichen Trainer und Gruppenleiter sowie bei expliziter Wachstumsorientierung ein ausgearbeitetes Konzept zur Mitgliederwerbung unterscheiden. Die Studie zeigt, dass es sich auch für kleinere Organisationen auszahlen kann, sich zumindest in Grundzügen an Leitlinien für professionelles Management zu orientieren.
