Syndicalisation et performances des entreprises : Une synthèse de la littérature économique récente

Abstract

L’influence des organisations syndicales de salariés sur la performance des entreprises a fait l’objet de nombreuses recherches, discussions et controverses dans la plupart des pays industrialisés, notamment aux Etats-Unis et au Royaume-Uni. L’objectif de cette contribution est d’éclairer les débats sur les effets économiques du syndicalisme, grâce à une revue de la littérature économique récente. Il s’agit de mettre en exergue d’une part, la portée et les limites de l’analyse économique du fait syndical et d’autre part, la controverse des conclusions des recherches existantes. S’il est difficile de conclure de façon globale et synthétique sur les effets du syndicalisme sur la performance des entreprises, les résultats des recherches conduisent à ne plus considérer l’action syndicale sous le seul aspect de son coût pour l’entreprise.
