Abstract

En este trabajo, tras analizar brevemente la situación de la dependencia en España y comentar las principales características del SAAD, examinar cómo se aborda la atención a la dependencia en Europa y presentar una estimación de los efectos sobre el empleo y la economía del SAAD (suponiendo que, como estaba previsto en el LBD, se hubiese implantado progresivamente en el período 2005-2010), se lleva a cabo un análisis estratégico del SAAD estableciendo una síntesis de sus debilidades y fortalezas, sus amenazas y oportunidades a partir de un “balance DAFO”.
