Abstract

This note is meant for all those individuals who want to assist sexual assault / rape survivors in their quest for legal justice. Of utmost importance is provision of psycho social support to survivors in order to overcome the trauma faced due to the assault and enable them to heal from abuse. The focus of this document is to explain basic hospital, police and justice systems procedures so that individuals providing support and care are aware of the rights of survivors vis a vis law enforcement agencies. [CEHAT].
