The Role of Employer Characteristics and Practices in Explaining Unfilled Vacancies in the Labour Market for It Workers: Evidence from Northern Ireland
Utilising data from the Northern Ireland IT labour market this paper seeks to establish the level and nature of any existing labour market rigidities and examines the extent to which the incidence of recruitment problems can be explained through demand-side influences. The study is centred around a survey-based approach concentrated on firms employing significant numbers of IT personnel.
