Estimación de los efectos económicos de la piratería

Abstract

(WPE 11/03 Clave pdf) En este WP se estima el efecto económico de la piratería en el sector de la música, que es el que más ha sufrido este fenómeno y sobre el cual se dispone de datos más antiguos (lo que permite hacer un estudio más fiable). Los resultados obtenidos pueden ser un indicador de lo que se puede esperar en un futuro inmediato en otros productos como DVD´s y videojuegos. Mediante el análisis de datos tanto a nivel del consumidor individual como macroeconómicos se establece cuál ha sido el efecto de la piratería sobre las ventas como la diferencia entre la demanda real registrada y la demanda estimada.
