Abstract

El presente trabajo realiza el análisis descriptivo de la población parada y, posteriormente la que está buscando empleo en la CAPV, en el período 1993-1999. El interés se centra en observar si estamos ante un paro de larga duración o no y profundizar en las características de los individuos desempleados, diferenciando en cualificación y género. Se constata una reducción global de la tasa de paro a lo largo del período, junto con una mayor incorporación de los individuos al mercado laboral, destacando el incremento de la tasa de actividad femenina.
