PISA-Ergebnisse, sozioökonomischer Status der Eltern und Sprache im Elternhaus: Eine international vergleichende Studie vor dem Hintergrund unterschiedlicher Einwanderungsgesetze

Abstract

Der Artikel beschreibt die Bedeutung nationaler Einwanderungskriterien für die Zusammensetzung nationaler Stichproben am PISA-2000-Test und analysiert das entsprechende Zustandekommen der internationalen PISA-Ergebnisse. Die Rollen der für das Leseergebnis von Migranten zentralen Schülereigenschaften wie „sozioökonomischer Hintergrund der Eltern”, „gesprochene Sprache im Elternhaus” und „ausländischer Geburtsort“ werden anhand individueller PISA-Punkte von Schülern in klassischen Einwanderungsländern (Australien, Kanada, Neuseeland und USA) und europäischen Ländern mit überwiegender Arbeitsmigration (wie z.B. Frankreich und Deutschland) evaluiert. Die empirischen Ergebnisse zeigen, dass zum einen der sozioökonomische Status der Eltern eine entscheidende Rolle spielt, wobei in Deutschland sowohl für Migrantenkinder als für Kinder von Einheimischen im internationalen Vergleich die soziale Durchlässigkeit besonders gering ist. Das größte Potential zur Verbesserung der PISA-Ergebnisse dürfte jedoch bei der Sprachförderung im Elternhaus liegen. Zum Beispiel lässt sich für Deutschland innerhalb der Problemgruppe der Schüler mit vollem Migrationshintergrund ein Vorsprung von mehr als 60 Pisa-Punkten bei denjenigen Schülern ermitteln, bei denen im Elternhaus die Landessprache gesprochen wird (verglichen mit jenen Schülern, bei denen eine andere Sprache gesprochen wird).
