Educación básica y media en Colombia: diagnóstico y recomendaciones de política

Abstract

Este documento aborda los retos y propuestas para mejorar el acceso y la calidad de la educación básica y media en Colombia. Apostarle al mejoramiento de la calidad educativa es un reto que debe enfrentar el país en la siguiente década si quiere consolidar la paz y dar un salto cualitativo en su capacidad de generar desarrollo social y económico. Este documento debe leerse como una continuación a un documento similar escrito por los autores en el 2014 y que contiene parte de las alertas y recomendaciones acá presentadas. Está organizado de tal manera que pueda aproximarse a contestar tres preguntas: ¿cómo estamos?, ¿qué se ha hecho?, ¿qué debe hacerse para alcanzar avances importantes en el acceso y mejoramiento de la calidad educativa en básica y media? Cabe resaltar que esta propuesta tiene el ánimo de contribuir al debate alrededor de este tema crítico y, sobre todo, continuar un proceso de construcción colectiva para el mejoramiento de las ideas acá presentadas y del sector educativo en el país.
