Abstract

En el siguiente texto trataremos algunas caracterizaciones sobre el proceso de crecimiento urbano en América Latina, examinadas de manera muy general. dado que, el fenómeno urbano en América Latina ha sido tratado en forma tan estrechamente ligada a la ideología de la modernización que su análisis requiere de una previa ordenación de los temas básicos que lo constituyen y un intento de este orden es el que nos proponemos en futuras investigaciones. Por el momento trataremos de senalar el proceso de urbanización y la producción de formas espaciales en América Latina para desembocar finalmente en un recorrido sobre algunos planteamientos realizados sobre la problemática urbana en Colombia.
