La crisis del sistema Pensional colombiano. Análisis de cobertura y crítica a las fallidas reformas

Abstract

La transición demográfica que vive Colombia implica la necesidad de analizar el papel de las personas de tercera edad en la sociedad. El presente documento trata dos temáticas; por un lado, se hace un estudio demográfico donde se ilustran los cambios demográficos y la situación actual en la distribución por edades de la población colombiana; después, se analiza detenidamente el sistema pensional colombiano, enfatizando en los cambios realizados en la Ley 100 de 1993, el problema de la cobertura, la relación con el mercado laboral y se realizan una serie de críticas a la fallida reforma del sistema pensional colombiano.
