Canales De Búsqueda De Empleo Y Duración Del Desempleo En Colombia

Abstract

El presente documento estudia la duración del desempleo en Colombia y destaca su relación y carácter explicativo con los canales de búsqueda de empleo. Para cumplir el objetivo se realizaron estimaciones no paramétricas tipo Kaplan-Meier, y paramétricas usando la función Weibull, teniendo como insumo la información de la Gran Encuesta Continua de Hogares en el segundo trimestre del ano 2008. Se encontró que a pesar de que el canal formal no es el más usado, sí es el más efectivo a la hora de disminuir la duración del desempleo, adicionalmente la significancia de los canales surgen como evidencia a favor de las rigideces del mercado laboral colombiano.
