Abstract

La crisis económica que vive Colombia no se manifiesta de igual forma en las diferentes regiones del país. De ahí la necesidad de caracterizar la coyuntura socioeconómica de cada región. En este trabajo el CIDSE presenta un análisis de la coyuntura económica para el Valle del Cauca en 1996 Este documento de trabajo es de hecho un informe preliminar de un proyecto de investigación del CIDSE sobre la coyuntura socioeconómica regional de los departamentos del Valle del Cauca y Cauca. Aquí sólo abordamos la parte correspondiente al análisis de coyuntura económica del Valle del Cauca en 19%, pero los próximos informes extenderán el análisis al Cauca La investigación es financiada por la Universidad del Valle y por COLCIENC1AS.
