Abstract

Abstract: This paper shows how students, at any educational level, try to approve the highest possible number of courses in order to graduate and obtain, with their title, a higher income. However, they can choose between cheating or not in the exams taken. Through an optimal control model and the most relevant theory it is concluded that they will make more fraude every time the expected gain increases and they will do less if the likelihood of being catched and its related costs increases.
