    Abstract

    La relación entre la propiedad intelectual y el comercio internacional, puede presentarse tanto de forma positiva como negativa, ya que puede favorecer a ciertos países aumentando su comercio exterior, especialmente a aquellos dotados de mayor capacidad tecnológica, y constituirse al mismo tiempo en una barrera al comercio a través del abuso de su ejercicio. El estudio aborda la situación de los derechos de propiedad intelectual en México, los efectos en su competitividad a nivel internacional y analiza la influencia que tiene el acuerdo sobre ADPIC1 en el proceso de actualización tecnológica, modernización e industrialización de México.
