Abstract

Hay indicios de que en los próximos 10 años se sumarían de 2 a 5 estados al grupo de los que ya disponen de armas nucleares, lo que demuestra la creciente importancia del poder disuasivo de dichas armas (la llamada Estrategia Nuclear de la Disuasión ), a la vez que entra en juego nuevamente la rivalidad Estado- Estado, casi dejada de lado con el fin de la Guerra Fría y la creciente rivalidad Estado- terrorismo (o actores no estatales, a veces subvencionados por determinados estados que se mantienen al margen del Derecho Internacional). Es por esto que he escogido dicho tema de estudio, ya que es de relevante importancia en los asuntos internacionales y su descontrol llevaría irremediablemente a un cambio sustancial del equilibrio de poder en Medio Oriente y otras regiones del mundo. Así lo expuesto, comenzaré por hacer una descripción de los tratados y acuerdos internacionales sobre la materia de estudio, sus alcances e implicancias para la comunidad internacional, etc. para luego continuar con un breve análisis del Medio Oriente y sus países mas relevantes en esta materia.
