Les déterminants de l'investissement direct bilatéral en Chine. Une analyse empirique sur données de panel

Abstract

L'article analyse les déterminants des investissements directs bilatéraux effectués entre 1983 et 1995 en République populaire de Chine. Un modèle de gravité de l'investissement direct est estimé sur des données de panel en utilisant la technique des variables instrumentales proposée par Hausman et Taylor (1981). Nous discutons également l'étude précédente de Liu et alii (1997) qui souffre, à notre avis, de sa méthode d'estimation inadéquate. Il s'avère que notre modèle de gravité, bien que dépourvu d'un fondement micro-économique pour cette application, "explique" assez bien la provenance nationale des investissements directs en Chine.
