L'int�gration r�gionale des march�s c�r�aliers : une approche �conom�trique
Abstract
L'int�gration des march�s contribue � assurer la s�curit� alimentaire des populations d'Afrique de l'Ouest. Le cas du Niger illustre parfaitement ce propos. Sa s�curit� alimentaire repose en grande partie sur les c�r�ales qu'il importe de son grand voisin, le Nigeria. Dans le cas d'�changes entre deux �conomies de dimensions diff�rentes, les prix sur les march�s de la petite �conomie sont-ils d�termin�s par les caract�ristiques de la grande ? L'int�gration des march�s est-elle uniforme et continue ou �volue-t-elle au cours du temps en fonction de facteurs exog�nes ? Les analyses de coint�gration et l'estimation de mod�les � correction d'erreurs, qui portent sur les march�s du ma�s et du mil entre le Nigeria et le Niger, permettent de r�pondre en partie � ces questions. Malgr� les restrictions importantes au commerce entre ces deux pays, les march�s sont int�gr�s ; la transmission des prix du Nord-Nigeria vers le Niger est importante et rapide. Si les "chocs exog�nes" n'ont pas d'influence sur l'int�gration � long terme, ils introduisent parfois des modifications du degr� d'int�gration � court terme, notamment lorsque les r�coltes nig�riennes sont exc�dentaires.Download Info
