    Este artigo tem o objetivo de analizar em perspectiva os processos de integração por que passou a América Latina, particularmente o Cone Sul1, no largo processo de formação da economia mundial desde a expansão que incorporou o continente amercicano ao desenvolvimento capitalista até o início do século XXI.
