Abstract

A política de Cooperação Portuguesa desde cedo estabeleceu como prioridade central os Países Africanos de Língua Oficial Portuguesa (PALOP), devido aos laços históricos e socioculturais, que caraterizam uma relação com mais de 35 (trinta e cinco) anos. Conhecida pelos seus objetivos de redução da pobreza; de reforço da Democracia e do Estado de Direito; de promoção tanto do crescimento económico como do diálogo, das integrações regionais e de uma parceria europeia para o desenvolvimento humano, a Cooperação nacional tem desempenhado um papel crucial no desenvolvimento africano, particularmente, ao nível do setor educativo.
