La spiegazione della ragione di scambio Nord-Sud: una rassegna di contributi ispirati al modello di Lewis

Abstract

In questo lavoro si analizza la letteratura riguardante la spiegazione della ragione di scambio nord-sud, concentrando l'attenzione al modello Ricardiano a tre beni di Lewis e alle due interpretazioni successive, il modello a fattori specifici di Bardhan ed il modello pi generale di Evans. I risultati ottenuti confermano la tesi di Lewis, mostrano come la spiegazione della ragione di scambio di lungo periodo sia basata sull'interazione reciproca del surplus di lavoro presente al Sud con il diverso andamento del progresso tecnico nelle due regioni.
