Análisis geoespacial con Stata. Elaboración de mapas de rezago social a nivel de AGEB urbana para México, 2010

Abstract

En la actualidad existen diferentes programas en el mercado que permiten realizar análisis de información geográfica. Sin embargo, estos programas presentan limitaciones para realizar análisis geográficos a partir de datos estadísticos, debido a que no siempre aceptan algoritmos que ejecuten una misma rutina. Gracias a los comandos shp2dta y spmap, Stata permite realizar rutinas para construir mapas con información estadística georeferenciada sin importar el nivel de desagregación geográfica. El objetivo de este trabajo consiste en presentar el uso de STATA para generar aproximadamente 10 mil mapas de rezago social a nivel AGEB con una sola rutina (do file), las cualidades, ventajas y desventajas para realizar este tipo de análisis y obtener información geográfica a partir de este ejercicio realizado por el Consejo Nacional de Evaluación de la Política de Desarrollo Social (CONEVAL).
