Un análisis del endeudamiento de los hogares

Abstract

Un continuo monitoreo del estado del riesgo de crédito es prioritario para preservar la estabilidad del sistema financiero. En este documento se utilizó la información de la encuesta de carga y educación financiera de los hogares (Iefic) para analizar las condiciones de endeudamiento y los determinantes de la probabilidad de incumplimiento de los hogares. Para esto se construyeron tres indicadores de carga financiera, los cuales buscan medir el servicio de la deuda y el endeudamiento con respecto al ingreso y a la riqueza. Adicionalmente, se estimó un modelo de probabilidad de default y otro de sobreendeudamiento que incluyen, por primera vez para Colombia, información socioeconómica de los hogares.
