On October 23, 2008, The Food Industry Center in collaboration with the Center for International Food and Agricultural Policy presented the symposium, âFuture Food Scarcities? Global Causes, Local Consequences.â Leaders from the food industry, academia and the public sector discussed the causes and consequences of rising food prices and their impact on food supplies, food companies, consumption, health and public policy in the United States and around the globe.
