Abstract

O artigo tem como objetivo discutir sobre a verticalização da agricultura familiar, pois a partir dela cria-se uma rede entre os agentes da sociedade, uma nova prática social, que vai além da melhoria da renda do produtor. Busca-se realizar essa reflexão para que se possam apresentar alternativas que tenham maior poder de contraposição a modelos excludentes, pois frente às turbulências da globalização (alta tecnologia, redução de emprego e desigualdade social) a valorização da agricultura familiar ameniza a questão social que assola o País. Diante disto, discorrer acerca da possibilidade da verticalização da agricultura familiar, tornam-se relevantes os conceitos de capital social e abordagem sistêmica, como elementos-chave para essa reflexão. Dessa forma, foi realizada uma revisão teórica sobre capital social, desenvolvimento rural sustentável, abordagem sistêmica e, por fim, apresenta-se a discussão sobre a verticalização da agricultura familiar.
