Extensão Rural No Estado De Goiás: Produção Familiar E Modernidade Reflexiva

Abstract

O ponto de partida desta pesquisa é o pressuposto teórico que a Extensão Rural constitui a porta de acesso dos produtores rurais à modernidade. Para tanto adotamos o modelo teórico de Giddens e consideramos a Extensão Rural como ponto de acesso aos sistemas peritos. Particularmente nos interessa refletir sobre o papel desempenhado pelos extensionistas, agentes fundamentais desse processo, indagando como os mesmos percebem sua atividade. Para tanto, realizamos um estudo de caso, tendo como objeto de análise a EMATER-GO no período de 1975 a 1999. Foi possível constatar a recorrente referência, por parte dos extensionistas, à noção de confiança, categoria central que explica a adesão dos indivíduos a um projeto de modernidade que os mesmos não controlam.
