Nível Tecnológico Da Produção De Mel De Abelha No Estado Do Ceará: Análise Comparativa Do Pólo De Santana Do Cariri Com Os Pólos De Mombaça E Pacajús/Chorozinho

A produção brasileira de mel de abelha apresenta bons resultados econômicos, conseguidos em parte, pelo rico pasto apícola local, contribuindo também para a preservação da flora nativa. O Nordeste brasileiro destaca-se com significativos resultados, principalmente nos Estados do Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte e Ceará. Este último obteve destaque no ano de 2007 como o Estado nordestino que mais exportou mel de abelha. Esta pesquisa procurou analisar o nível tecnológico da produção do mel de abelha (Apis melífera) no pólo produtor cearense de Santana do Cariri, como também confrontá-lo com os dados dos pólos de Mombaça e Pacajús/Chorozinho. Os dados referentes ao pólo de Santana do Cariri foram primários obtidos por meio de entrevistas diretas aos produtores, no período de novembro de 2007 a janeiro de 2008. Já os dados dos outros pólos foram obtidos de fontes secundárias. Para avaliação do nível tecnológico, dividiu-se o sistema de produção de mel em cinco componentes: uso de equipamentos, manejo, colheita, pós-colheita e gestão. Calcularam-se índices tecnológicos para cada um separadamente e para o conjunto deles, com base na respectiva tecnologia recomendada, sendo que, quanto mais próximo da tecnologia recomendada, maior é o valor deste índice, refletindo-se, em um melhor nível tecnológico. Os principais resultados obtidos, mostram que o índice de tecnologia incorporada à produção de mel de abelha de Santana do Cariri (0,4253), está relativamente baixo e enquadrado como padrão tecnológico tipo C. No entanto, quando confrontado com os pólos de Pacajús/Chorozinho e Mombaça, percebe-se uma superioridade destes últimos, possuindo em ambos os pólos, padrão tecnológico tipo B. A variável pós-colheita apresentou os melhores índices, enquanto na gestão da atividade, foram encontrados os mais baixos índices tecnológicos.--------------------The Brazilian honey bee production presents good economical results, gotten in parts, by the rich local beekeeping pasture, also contributing for the preservation of the native flora. The Brazilian northeastern region detaches with significant results, mainly in States of Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte and Ceará. This last one obtained prominence in the year of 2007, because the data show it as being the Northeastern State that more exported honey bee. This research tried to analyze the technological level of the honey bee production (Apis Melífera) in the Ceará’s producing pole of Santana do Cariri, as well as to confront it to the data of Mombaça’s and Pacajús/Chorozinho’s poles. The data that refer to the pole of Santana do Cariri were primary obtained trough direct interviews to the producers, in the period from November 2007 to January of 2008. The data of the other poles were obtained from secondary sources. For evaluation of the technological level, the system of honey production was diveded in five components: use of equipments, handling, gathering, after-gathering and management. Technological indexes were calculated separately for each one and for their group, based on the respective recommended technology, so that, the more closer to the recommended technology, larger is the value of this index, being reflected on a better technological level. The major obtained results, show that the index of technology incorporated to the Santana do Cariri honey bee production (0,4253), is relatively low and framed as pattern technological type C. However, when confronted with the poles of Pacajús/Chorozinho and Mombaça, it is noticed a superiority of these last ones, possessing in both poles, pattern technological type B. The after-gathering variable presented the best indexes, while in the administration of this activity, were found the lowest technological indexes.
