O Gado De Corte No Rio Grande Do Sul: Principais Sistemas De Produção

Abstract

Este artigo busca descrever os principais sistemas de produção do gado de corte no Rio Grande do Sul, apresentando as três formas de criação de bovinos de corte mais utilizadas e as características mais relevantes destes sistemas. Um dos destaques foi a diversidade encontrada nas formas de criação, já que o sistema de produção mais utilizado que é a bovinocultura de corte com produção vegetal em ciclo completo está presente em apenas 16,1% das propriedades gaúchas. O estudo teve como base o Diagnóstico de Sistemas de Produção de Bovinocultura de Corte do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul.-----------------------------This paper aims to describe the main cattle production systems in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, showing the three most employed forms of cattle breeding in the state and the most relevant characteristics of these systems. One of the highlights was the diversity found in the ways of cattle breeding since the production system most employed is a mixture of cattle breeding alongside vegetal production in a complete cycle is present in only 16,1% of the properties of the state. The study was based on the so-called Analysis of the Cattle Production Systems in the State of Rio Grande do Sul.
