    Abstract

    O presente artigo analisou as operações de investimento do Pronaf B, que trabalha com o microcrédito rural, em operações contratadas até 30 de junho de 2006. Verificou como está sendo conduzida a aplicação deste crédito rural, principalmente no Nordeste, em relação ao seu nível de inadimplência, bem como investigou as metodologias utilizadas na aplicação deste recurso, a colaboração do microcrédito para a diminuição da pobreza rural, a participação dos atores locais e a promoção do capital social.-------------The present article analyzed the operations of investment of Pronaf B, that works with the agricultural microcredit, in operations contracted up to 30 of June of 2006. It verified as she is being lead the application of this agricultural credit, mainly in the Northeast, relation to its level of insolvency, as well as investigated the methodologies used in the application of this resource, the contribution of the microcredit for the reduction of the agricultural poverty, the participation of the local actors and the promotion of the capital stock.
