A Socio-Economic Survey in the Province of Nampula: Agricultural Marketing in the Smallholder Sector

Abstract

The objective of this study is to use data from a rural survey of smallholders carried out in July/August of 1991 to evaluate the nature and degree of problems faced by these farmers during the transition from a highly controlled to an increasingly market oriented economic system.
