Bestimmungsgründe der globalen Ausbreitung der ökologischen Landwirtschaft – eine ökonometrische Analyse

Abstract

Der vorliegende Beitrag untersucht die Bestimmungsgründe der weltweiten Ausbreitung der ökologischen Landwirtschaft. Basierend auf der einschlägigen Literatur und in Anlehnung an die Standorttheorie wird zunächst ein theoretisches Modell für die Verbreitung des Ökolandbaus entwickelt. Hierbei wirken sich die natürlichen Standortfaktoren, die politischen Rahmenbedingungen und das sozio-ökonomische Umfeld auf den Markt für Ökoprodukte. Daneben sind der Markt, d.h. Angebot und Nachfrage von Ökoprodukten von einer Reihe von Faktoren wie Kaufkraft und Einkommen der Konsumenten, Wettbewerbsfähigkeit des konventionellen Sektors oder Bildungsgrad der Landwirte direkt beeinflusst...
