Estimating Farm-Level Effects Of Adopting Biotechnology
AbstractThis study estimates farm-level effects of adopting 1997 herbicide-tolerant soybeans, Bt cotton, and herbicide-tolerant cotton and compares results obtained from various data sources. While adopters' yields are generally higher and pest control costs lower than those of nonadopters, considerable differences exist in farm-level effects across data sources and production regions.
