El auge del supermercadismo y el caso del Grupo Wong

Abstract

La explosiva expansión de supermercados, sobre todo en Lima Metropolitana, ha estado detrás del auge relativo del sector comercio en los últimos años. El grupo nacional Wong es el más emblemático en este sector, pues emplea en este momento a cerca de ocho mil personas, y es parte de este trabajo. El grupo, que empezó con una bodega en un distrito de clase media-alta, cuenta hoy con 35 establecimientos de diverso formato en todos los sectores socioeconómicos de Lima. Además, el grupo es reconocido por sus buenas prácticas de responsabilidad empresarial y por su constante motivación al personal, lo que le permite ofrecer niveles de excelencia en el servicio al cliente.
